RaceIQ at the AECF Forum

On April 11, 2017, President of RaceIQ James T. Jones, had the pleasure of serving on the panel for the Atlanta e-Commerce Forum (AECF) to provide some insights around connected cars and how eCommerce will be affected. AECF is the place in Atlanta to learn about Connected Commerce. Since 1989, AECF has provided a forum for Fortune 1000 companies and other organizations to hear about the best practices and new innovations related to conducting business electronically.

According to the AECF, "Connected vehicles aren’t on the horizon anymore because they are already here. Some technologies that were once features will become expected as a standard by the consumers. As this shift is made, opportunities for revenue generation across the value chain will become present. Automotive manufacturers will see revenue-generation opportunities for this next breed of vehicle." Some of the hot topics around the discussion and concerns from the audience were privacy, security, safety, and the shared vehicle model.

The panelists consisted of:

Rick Walker - President & CEO (Founder) of Georgia Automotive Manufacturer's Association,

Sue Boehlke - Ground Transportation Leader of Penton,

David Barton - Managing Director of UHY Advisors

Philip Aiello - Project Manager of UPS Corporate Automotive Engineering,

Jack Shaw - Executive Consultant and Technology Futurist &

James T. Jones - President and Founder of RaceIQ

RaceIQ Gets the Spotlight at GA Tech

Last year, ATDC launched a special partnership called the “ATDC Spotlight” with the State Bank & Trust Co. to highlight six of their companies on the jumbotron screen at six of Georgia Tech’s home football games. Of those companies, only one of the six was selected as Startup of the Year and presented with an award on the field.

Jen Bonnett, GM of ATDC explains, "The purpose of this campaign came from Joe Evan, (bank chairman, and also a GA Tech graduate) is to celebrate entrepreneurship, highlight the great, disruptive technologies our ATDC Signature Startups are bringing to market, and State Bank’s deep commitment to supporting owner-managed startups and businesses."

As one of the Signature Companies at ATDC, they were pleased to announce that they wanted to shine the spotlight on RaceIQ this year! So on Saturday October 1st, the RaceIQ Team, Founder James T. Jones, his 2 little prodigies featured in the photo below are James "Ty" Jones Jr. (7) and Jaxton T. Jones (4) arrived with their (startup) game faces on as the Yellow Jackets took on the Miami Hurricanes. It was quite the game, but we couldn't stay for long as Jones had to catch a flight later that evening to Brasilia, Brazil to accept another award for 2016's Emerging Digital Solutions. Isn't he just real #LifeGoals?

Check out the photos below and let's keep the entrepreneur spirits going! We are proud to be apart of the Georgia Tech's startup ecosystem and encourage everyone who is in the same space to keep on pushing because it is the most rewarding part of being a business owner.

Happy Fall,

The RaceIQ Team

RaceIQ Fulfills the Promises of the Digital Age

The 20th WCIT convention took place on October 3rd-5th in Brasília and this year, RaceIQ got to be apart of the commotion. (The World Congress on Information Technology is organized by the World Information Technology and Services Alliance).

WITSA is present in 82 countries, with the inclusion of members representing 90% of the global ICT market, as well as key global information technology companies. The event gathered around two thousand people from more than 80 countries around the world. They consisted of business leaders, senior government officials, innovators, investors, and students, who discussed topics related to “Fulfilling the Promises of the Digital Age.” WCIT is based on three main pillars: speeches, exhibitions, and B2B meetings which cultivated a unique opportunity for expanding businesses and investments in companies and ideas, while generating competitiveness in the global market.

As technological innovations continue to change and add value to our lives, new threats arises with them. But have no fear because RaceIQ is here with huge plans to protect us and our vehicles from malware and security hacks. From over 700 companies who submitted for the Emerging Digital Solutions Program, WITSA narrowed it down to 7 and RaceIQ was honored to be selected. WITSA awarded the Digital Age's greatest companies which will bring digital solutions necessary for the transformations of the century. You can learn more about these emerging companies here.

At the exhibition, RaceIQ was able to inform visitors on how our technology has helped create jobs, improve logistics, and be able to mitigate and detect vehicle hacks. During the panels, speakers expressed some challenges Brasilia faces in the automotive and transportation industry. Our technology possesses solutions that directly address their challenges and we have begun planning our next visit in early Q1 of 2017 with officials in Brasilia to showcase our capabilities.

Keep on racing to new possibilities,
